The Subaru Ascent has room for the whole family and enough safety features to give you peace of mind. With four trims to choose from, which one has exactly what you're looking for?

Koby Subaru finds out for families in Mobile, Daphne, and Fairhope with this review of the 2020 Subaru Ascent trim levels.

Subaru Ascent

The base trim of the Subaru Ascent sets the tone for this family-friendly SUV. It runs on a 2.4L SUBARU BOXER® 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. It's also capable of towing up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The interior features three rows of seats and comfortable cloth upholstery. There's room for up to eight people with a second-row bench seat. Up front, the dashboard has a 6.5-inch touchscreen for your infotainment system. It has lots of smartphone compatibility with standard Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto™.

There's also lots of technology that can keep you safe. The EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology package comes standard to help prevent accidents.

Subaru Ascent Premium

The Ascent Premium runs on the same engine as the base trim, but it's capable of towing up to 5,000 pounds.

It also comes with more technology, including an 8-inch touchscreen, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

Furthermore, the interior offers more comfort and durability with stain-resistant cloth upholstery, heated front seats, second-row climate controls, and an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat.

Subaru Ascent Limited

The Ascent Limited adds luxury to the interior with leather seats and leather accents on the doors and dashboard.

It also provides extra comfort with a power-adjustable front passenger's seat, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel. You'll also have a choice between a second-row bench seat or a pair of captain's chairs.

It's easy to hit the road in this trim, too, with keyless access, a power rear gate, and push-button start. For more visibility during your drive, High Beam Assist, LED fog lights, and LED Steering Responsive Headlights all come standard.

Subaru Ascent Touring

The final trim level is the Ascent Touring. It continues to add style with woodgrain interior accents, chrome door handles, and satin chrome power-folding side mirrors. It also makes the second-row captain's chairs standard and features a sliding panoramic glass moonroof.

You'll also find more technology on board. For example, the infotainment system now comes with a navigation system that can deliver turn-by-turn directions. To hear all your directions, phone calls, and music clearly, there's now a 14-speaker Harman Kardon® Quantum Surround Sound system.

When you're not looking at maps or multimedia, you can use your infotainment system to scope out what's in front of you. The 180-degree Front-View Monitor will come in handy whether you're driving on a trail or heading down a bumpy street.
